Spinning Plates by Vivian Hansbury: Sculpture In Context 2012 at the National Botanic Gardens

Vivian graduated from the University of Ulster, Belfast with a MA in Fine Art in 2000. She teaches sculpture, drawing and bronze casting at the Centre for Continuing Education in the National College of Art and Design. Vivian is a practising artist and specialises in sculpture, installation and video media. Her solo art exhibitions have included ‘Internal Logic’, The Concourse Installation at the DĂșn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in 2003, and a one-person show at the Triskel Arts Centre in 1997. She also participates in group exhibitions such as ‘Sculpture In Context’ at Dublin’s Botanical Gardens. In 1998, Vivian won an Iontas Sculpture Award for an untitled piece of work and in 2001, she received an Eigse Work of Promise Award for her sculpture ‘Breath’. Vivian has been involved with the Digital Hub since 2009 and teaches Drawing on the Digi Film & TV and DIGI-MEDIA programmes.
